How many times have you washed and dried your hands today?

15th October 2019

As you go about your working day think about all the moments that hand hygiene is important for you and your colleagues.

Micro-organisms can be passed on to others when people don’t wash their hands and then touch shared surfaces such as equipment, stationery, printers and water coolers. And this in turn can spread illness in the workplace.

80% of infections are spread because people touch contaminated surfaces.

Did you know that only 60% of the world’s population has access to a basic hand-washing facility.

We are lucky enough to have access to good hand-washing facilities in Ireland so let’s use them! Washing and drying hands with a single use paper towel is recommended by the World Health Organisation. And here are steps to follow for good hand hygiene:

Scott Control Frequent Use Hand Cleanser
Code: N06310 Colour-free and fragrance-free, foaming hand soap. The luxury foam lather helps to wash hands thoroughly, but rinses off more quickly than traditional soap resulting in less water usage and time spent per wash. The cassettes are designed for quick and easy installation with a simple push and click. When the cassette is empty, it can be compressed to conserve space and is fully recyclable once the pump is removed.

Scott Control Rolled Hand Towel White
